Join us for the Singapore Wildlife Stampede with Dr. Jane Goodall on 2 November 2007. This parade to be held at the Singapore Botanic Gardens will begin at the Jacob Ballas Children’s Garden at 5pm and end at the Palm Valley at 7pm. This first-ever parade will bring together 600 children, youth and adults, who together, will advocate for our wild habitats by dressing up as an endangered animal or plant! The theme of the parade is: Save our Wild Habitats! Save our Species!
AT A GLANCE:
The programme for the day is as follows:
2.30pm Registration and dressing up at Jacob Ballas Children’s Garden
4:30 pm Entertainment on the Palm Valley Stage begins
5:00 pm Parade Begins from Jacob Ballas Children’s Gaden

Dear participants, please note that there are some changes to ‘Parade instructions’ post yesterday. The changes are:
1. New Water will be provided for those who do not have their own bottle of water. Designated places for disposal of bottles for recycling will be set up. Water will be available mid-way from a water fountain and at the end from a water dispenser for water bottle refill.
2. Pick-up point for coaches is at the Ginger Garden Car Park—Andrew—please could you check on the wording if I forget to do this. HweeHwee wonder if you could mark this on the map?
3. Cheek-painting (not face-painting of animal faces) will be just outside classrooms and at Party Place
4. Masks for children who have none will be available for pick-up on a first-come first-served basis, as will be materials for making up of costumes on the spot

Come to the Singapore Wildlife Stampede dressed as your favourite wild animal or plant and show yourself off in the WILDLIFE SHOWCASE! Guidelines for the Wildlife Showcase
The venue is Function Room, 2nd level, Botany Centre, Singapore Botanic Gardens.
Due to limited seating in the Workshop, participants who are interested please inform Miss Dahlia at twilike83@yahoo.com.sg.
If you are from a school, please indicate which school you are from and how many people will be attending the workshop.
Please confirm your attendance via email before 18th October 2007, (Thursday).

Dear Participant/s,
Thank you once again for taking part in the Wildlife Stampede — a parade led by Dr Jane Goodall.
Event Details:
1. Date of Event: 2 November 2007, FridayVenue: Singapore Botanic Gardens (SBG)
2. Reporting Time: 2.30pm - 4:30pm
· Report at the Jacob Ballas Children’s Garden (Map attached: Bukit Timah entrance).
· Registration (1 representative to register and collect fruit coupon).
· Dress-up in the classrooms, get your face painted at the foyer (face painters will be stationed there) and collect fruit to munch on for energy.
· For those who are driving, please note that parking will not be allowed within the Children’s Garden. An alternative will be to park at the NUS Bukit Timah Campus. If you plan to park at the SBG Visitors’ Centre, please note that the walk to the Children’s Garden will be a distance of about 1.5 km. 3. Flag-off: 5pm
· Participants will walk from the Children’s Garden to the Symphony Lake, parade style. (A map of the route is attached)
· The walk should take around 40 minutes. 4. Performances: 4.30pm – 7pm
· Performances will start at the Symphony Lake at 4.30pm and continue on till the end of the event. Friends and family (no limit to number) are invited to picnic in the Palm Valley and wait for the Stampede to arrive later.
5. End Time: 7pm
· The parade will end at 7pm.
Things to Bring:
1. Water bottle. (In view of environmental friendliness, no bottled water will be provided. Participants are encouraged to bring their own bottles. Water will be available for refill). 2. Food and drink for the picnic at Symphony Lake.3. Umbrella/ Poncho/ Mat (in case of wet weather and damp grass).
